During my talk, we will take a philosophical look at the developments of AI and robotics. We begin our journey with the story of some obscure mathematicians at the turn of the 20th century who asked if there was a recipe to solve every problem of logic or mathematics. These trailblazers conceived of thinking machines that became computers and later morphed into AI. As we take this journey, we will peek into how large language models like GPT-3 can be trained to ace medical license exams or how an AI can beat a radiologist at interpreting imagery or how Alpha-Go beat a grandmaster of the game Go. In doing so, we will keep going to the same fundamental questions asked by our mathematicians, and tackled by philosophers from Plato to Kant and Wittgenstein: What is the human mind’s relationship with reality? What are the mind’s limits to knowing the essence of things? The talk will prepare the audience to understand the wider societal implications of AI technologies, such as the impacts on future employment, the moral dilemmas connected with AI and robotic solutions, and the quintessential question of what does it even mean to be human?

The Congress will be held from 17th-20th November, 2022 at Serena Hotel, Islamabad and theme of conference is “Innovations-shaping the future of Orthopedic surgery”. This will highlight the most advanced strategies in common orthopaedic conditions through the advanced techniques and expect to meet thought leaders, renowned Orthopaedic surgeons, government pioneers, academia, researchers and technology providers who will be sharing their knowledge in the format of presentations, discussions, workshops providing a unique educational programme and a great opportunity to review the latest developments in the Orthopaedic field.
We expect participation of more than 1500 Orthopaedic surgeons from all over the country with a large number of esteemed foreign faculty delivering keynote/ State of art lectures.
The congress will be supported by multiple renowned regional and international associations and media partners.
The Scientific Programme has been prepared with a variety of innovative and educational topics which will cater to both junior and senior Orthopaedic surgeons as well as Allied health professionals.
We will also organize Pre-Orthocon workshops covering all Orthopaedic Sub-specialities which will attract the hands-on participation of junior Consultants and Post graduate trainees from all over the country.
I hope you will join us for a great conference and had a wonderful time to enjoy and explore the beautiful capital of Pakistan.
